Chautauqua Show
-Table fee was waved
March 20-21
-Asked if anyone in our club could do a program on Steelhead or lake fishing
-Show asks for two donations for use as prizes for the two charities
they are sponsoring, Kids on the Fly, and Project Healing Waters.
Jim
J.-2 dozen jigs, JT-A box with flies, the chapter will donate a Shirt/hat/membership.
Erie Show
Feb.27-march 1
-Need Saturday and Sunday sign ups to work the show.
Fly
rod donated by Mike Bleach, the outdoor writer for the Times News, Reel seat donated by Rick Barbados, Gander Mountain reel,
and Lake Erie Angler Line/backing,
Will be at the table, Proceeds will go toward the 2009 gift basket program.
Butler Show
-Went well $504.00
-15 new memberships, sold 144 raffle tickets, shirt,
and a decal.
Weather
was nice this year.
Youth Derby
-spoke to Brook and the project is do’ able for the fall of 2009
Mike Hinze will spear head the project
Hatchery Report
-Started feeding
-low mortality
-they look very well
-Need noon time feeders

-Vets derby at the Mission raceway 9 am
-Kids derby, under 12, Boro pond 1pm
Walnut Creek, stop sign hole, the handrail with stood the spring ice. Nice job of building
it.
Jim and Mike H talk on Stripers on Lake Arthur will be
a future date.
WCO Report
Brook West county WCO:
-Has a new addition to his family
with a new baby boy, Congratulations.
-Monday May 4th, tentative kids fishing with his wife’s Girard HS School class, 17-18
kids, volunteers would be appreciated.
-Northwest commissioners’ meeting-March 24 in Meadville, Perhaps one will also be in Erie date unknown.
-License issues, youth license, license increase fees.
-Changes
in Regulations
-USGS
Stream gage at Walnut Creek was washed out by the ice. It should be repaired shortly.
Regulation changes this year, rules enacted because of
VHS virus.
Egg collection allowed but eggs must be used in the Lake Erie watershed.
Fish must be dead to transport out of the Lake Erie watershed.
Jim Eastern County WCO
-License Point of Sale ++July 1st, PA Game
Commission will have its licenses on sale.
-Nofork Southern Railway settled pollution case for $7.5 million
will not go to trial because of this settlement.
PA DEP along with PAF&BC gathered evidence and will share equally the $7.5m
A citizen video taped 20-30 minutes
of the aftermath of the spill, this video would have been enough evidence to have won the case.
40,000 gal of “draino” dissolved fish
and water life for 10 miles.
Stream
is coming back.
The PA Fish
Commission is looking for individuals whom would like to be DWCO’s.
