A lot of people have asked "why should I join the PA Steelhead Association" and "What's in it for me." Well, these are very good questions of a person to ask when he or she parts with hard earned money to join the Association. Our Projects and Results and are reason enough to join. However, let's break this down into value received and what the PA Steelhead Association is doing for you the angler:
First of all there are business members who voluntarily give Association members a 10% discount on products, goods and services. Simply show the participating business your membership card to receive your discount. If, during the course of the steelhead season you spend $150.00 at these participating businesses, and this includes tackle, bait, food, etc., you will have already paid for your membership at the current membership rate of $15.00. These discounts are given year round. These business members include the following (please note list may not be current):
* Poor Richards Bait & Tackle - 10% discount on bait and fishing tackle
* Lake Shore Towing - $5 off on a one year membership
* Best Western Hotel (Sterrettania Rd) - 10% discount on room rates
* Super 8 Motel (Sidehill Rd, North East) - Room discount rates ask for further details
All members also receive a Newsletter published each month the club has a meeting. We believe we put out the best quality newsletter of any local sportsman's club or group. If you compiled all of our newsletters together you would have a book on the "how to's" of steelheading. We also ask and encourage all members to contribute to these newsletters. Who knows? You could be the next Zane Grey!
Most of all it is satisfying to know that you are part of the only organization in our area exclusively dedicated to protecting, preserving and enhancing Northwest PA steelhead fishing.
We always welcome new members. If you would like to join, you may do so at any monthly meeting, or fill out an Application from our web site.

* ACTIVELY SUPPORTING THE 3CU TROUT ASSOCIATION
WITH COMMUNITY SUPPORT, MEMBERSHIP, AND OUR FUND RAISING EFFORTS, THE PENNSYLVANIA STEELHEAD ASSOCIATION WILL WORK TO KEEP THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY TO STREAM ACCESS OPEN.
MEMBERSHIP:
MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN THE LAKE ERIE STEELHEAD FISHERY. SPIN FISHERMAN, FLY FISHERMAN, BAIT FISHERMAN AND NON-ANGLING INDIVIDUALS ARE INVITED TO JOIN.

DUES:
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS ARE $15.00 PER YEAR. BUSINESS MEMBERSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE AT $50.00 PER YEAR. JUNIOR MEMBERSHIPS, 15 YEARS OF AGE AND YOUNGER, ARE AVAILABLE FOR $5.00 IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FULL MEMBER SPONSOR. JUNIOR MEMBERS ALSO RECEIVE ALL THE BENEFITS OF A FULL MEMBERSHIP.
